LEGITIMATE CONCERNS ARE INCREASING AMONG CITIZENS WHO ASK FOR AN UNION ORDINANCE AGAINST WILD REPEATERS AND AGAINST INCREASING EMISSIONS. THE PARTICIPATION OF THE NEW PREFECT D’AGOSTINO IS WISHED.

The legitimate concerns of the citizens of Andria increase after the public interventions also coming from representatives of the scientific and association world. The analyses, the reflections and above all the absence of administrative and institutional measures based on the principles of precaution and caution are worsening a very delicate and very worrying situation.

The residents of via Scipione L’Africano continued the mobilization with the distribution of flyers and posters inviting active participation. A civil and democratic mobilization that takes place while the installation work on the new telephone repeater pylon currently appears to be at a standstill.

An organization that was supported by the positive feedback from the Police Headquarters of Barletta Andria Trani which did not impose any requirements with respect to the Communication sent signed by the President of the Civic Commitment Association “Io Ci Sono”, the social activist Savino Montaruli who launched the following appeal: “I thank the friend of many civil battles, Dr. Dino Leonetti, who is also directly following this umpteenth civic mobilization, for his beautiful words of appreciation towards the work also carried out by our Association. I perfectly share his concerns, which are also those of all the people of Andria. That “we can’t do anything”

expressed with such ease by those who have to give answers to citizens, voters and the community, it is a sign of resignation that is not good for what should, instead, be an active action to defend the Right to Health for which we have all been fighting for decades, without compromise. The invasion of antennas and repeaters in the city of Andria took place and continues to take place in total and absolute “freedom” and those files are not even opened or looked at, entrusting the fate of the citizens to ineffable silences-agreement. For our part – continues Montaruli – we believe the initiative of the municipality of Andria to even sign a cooperation protocol with a telephony operator which lays the foundations for an inevitable increase in 5G repeaters is absolutely inappropriate, as also stated by our friend Doctor . Leonetti. An expiring Protocol which absolutely should not be renewed and which should, instead, be immediately rescinded just as a union ordinance must be issued with extreme urgency against the increase in emission limits decided by the government starting from last April 29th, from the current 6V/ m even at 15V/m, as the mayors of Northern Italy are doing. Thanks to this civic action the city of Andria becomes aware and breaks that very serious, unjustified and persistent institutional and political silence. Faced with such a delicate topic, it becomes a civic duty to take to the streets to freely express our thoughts and give an account of our consciences. An event inspired by communion and sharing of such a delicate topic that affects all citizens, without exclusions. First of all, we thank the Bishop of Andria, Msgr., for his closeness. Luigi Mansi who is aware of all our initiatives as well as the new Police Commissioner Dr. Alfredo Fabbrocini for allowing the event to take place as requested by us, including the procession through the city streets. It would be nice and very constructive if the new Prefect of the Province of Barletta Andria Trani, Dr. Silvana D’Agostino, who had just taken office at the Government Palace in Barletta, also took part in the event. It would really be a nice sign of closeness to the people in a city where people still count for too little and where decisions are made by omitting all those steps of sharing and inclusion, even those forms of active participation required by law. Appointment on Thursday 23 May 2024 with departure at 7.30 pm from Via Scipione l’Africano (former municipal slaughterhouse area via Canosa). The procession will travel along the following routes

streets: via Don R. Lotti – via Annunziata – via Orsini – via Ruggiero VII – via O. Jannuzzi – via De Gasperi – via Porta Castello and arrival in Piazza Catuma with Sit-In. Citizens are invited.
