At the Lido degli Estensi, on Saturday at 3pm, the inauguration of the new Viale Carducci/Querce will be held, the subject of an important urban redevelopment project which has also affected the surrounding areas. The regional councilor for Infrastructure and Tourism Andrea Corsini, the regional councilor Marcella Zappaterra and the municipal administration will be present. The intervention, carried out thanks to the contribution of the Emilia Romagna Region, the Cadf, the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and with municipal funds, is part of a large urban redevelopment project and is characterized by the renovation of underground services, paving road and cycle-pedestrian paths with the inclusion of new finishes aimed at differentiating and enhancing the various sections of the avenue: the cycle, pedestrian, vehicular and parking areas. Three meeting and gathering spaces were designed: the small square north of Viale Carducci, where a new square overflow fountain was created; a small square at the intersection of Viale Carducci and Viale Dante Alighieri, where a new triangular infinity fountain has been created; at the crossroads between Viale Carducci and Viale dei Pini, characterized by a series of measures aimed at qualifying the entire area through the renovation of fine paving and a set of islands equipped with greenery in addition to street furniture. The intervention also involves the insertion of outdoor tactile plates to identify crossings for the visually impaired. Along the avenue, benches, planters, bike racks and waste separation bins were placed, and an excessive number of trees were planted compared to the compensation provided for by the municipal green regulation.
