TARQUINIA – A cycle/pedestrian path that connects not only the historic center to the train station and the beach, but which also rejoins the Tirrenica path that connects three regions. This is the aim of the project currently underway for the construction of the cycle/pedestrian path in Via Vecchia della Stazione in Taquinia. Mayor Alessandro Giulivi explains it: «The project – explains Mayor Alessandrsays the mayor – was financed by the Municipality of Tarquinia with an amount exceeding 200 thousand euros, with the aim of improving mobility and contributing to the urban redevelopment of the area» . “The works will soon be complete – explains the mayor – and the citizens will have at their disposal a strategic artery that will connect the historic center of Tarquinia with the railway station, through a safe and functional route for both cyclists and pedestrians”.

«The cycle/pedestrian path project – underlines Mayor Giulivi – also represents a fundamental piece for the creation of a wider urban road network: it will be reunited with the Lido cycle path, the subject of imminent modernization work, and with the Tirrenica cycle path , a route of 1,200 km that winds through three regions, archaeological sites, protected areas and places declared UNESCO heritage sites, which starts from Ventimiglia and ends up in Civitavecchia.”
