PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – It is not a simple acronym, but a first approach to put the customer at ease: “Ciao”, acronym for Customer Information Assistance Office, is the name that Ita Airways has chosen for the new customer assistance center in Palermo , located in Palazzo Gamma and inaugurated in the presence of the company’s top management, the mayor Roberto Lagalla and the regional councilor for Infrastructure Alessandro Aricò.
The Ita Airways Customer Center, the second opened in southern Italy by the company in recent days as the one in Rende will be operational from Friday 24th, will welcome the 178 employees who have worked entirely remotely in the last three years: a hub aimed at making the relationship between the company and Sicily is more stable, meeting the needs of customers in an increasingly strategic territory for the airport market.

Lagalla also highlights the strategic importance of the hub for Palermo: “There is a great effort on the part of the institutions to relaunch the credibility of the ruling class and the territory, but we need the country to help us: Sicily is about connectivity, both infrastructural and digital, its fundamental value and the valorisation of our airport system is an important hub for the territory. The Palermo airport is growing rapidly, but it is necessary to integrate the public presence with others of a different type”.
Aricò’s praise for Ita Airways is linked both to the Customer Center and to its participation in initiatives aimed at enhancing the airport market in Sicily: “President Schifani has allowed Sicilians to travel with a 25% or 50% discount and Ita is one of the two companies that has joined: the opening of Ciao is a further celebration, because it allows 178 people to have an office and be an important reference for Sicilian citizens”.
