Avezzano, Abruzzo protagonist at the Table Football Regions Championship


AVEZZANO (AQ) – Campania and then, following, Abruzzo, Sicily and Lazio write the ranking of the 2024 edition of Table football regions championship promoted by Figest, the Italian Federation of Traditional Games and Sports, in collaboration with the Italian Table Soccer League and the International Table Soccer Federation, and hosted in Avezzano, Abruzzo, together with the Italian Cup which instead went, for the competitive players, to couple formed by Pietro and Salvatore Parello. Behind them, in second place, Gabriele Rossoni and Mirko Placido and, in third place, Simone Sambucini and Giuliano Stheinhaus.

A public success for the sporting event, with the involvement of many schools, held in the Vivenza school gym. Also for the Italian Cup, Andrea Salvati and Lorenzo Certo stood out as the best semi-pro couple. In the Amateur category, first place for Ilario Ferrari and Nicola Pinto, second for Pasquale Bruno and Matteo Rossi, third for Simone Fabiani and Matteo Quagliata.

Among the female teams, Claudia Ortu and Eleonora Fiocchi stood out in the final ranking with a good first place. In second place Valeria Russo and Cristina Dionisi, in third place Anna Rilletti and Sabrina Luciano.

In the Veterans, gold for Corrado Musa and Roberto Corselli, silver for Aristide Proto and Gianluca Favetta, bronze for Pasquale Frisi and Aniello Fasulo.

For the Under19 ranking these are the results: first David Bernardi and Corrado Farina, second Girolamo Lombardo and Alessio Cammilleri, third Cristian Pacioni and Giovanni Perciballi.

In the Mixed category, the top step of the podium went to Lorenzo Nesta and Eleonora Fiocchi, second to Luigi Rosica and Anna Rilletti and third to Mirko Placido and Alessandra Cosentino.

To close the Exclusive category with the gold of Federico De Angelis and Luca Marrazzo, the silver of Enrico Valenti and Girolamo Lombardo and the bronze of Alex Magliocchetti and Gabriele Trombin.

The sporting event, sponsored by the Municipality of Avezzano, led by the mayor Giovanni Di Pangrazio, and by the Abruzzo Region, represented by the Councilor for Sport, Mario Quaglieri, in addition to the challenges of the “big” players in table football, also presented many collateral activities and promotional activities involving, in the Marsica Quadrangular which saw the triumph of the Municipality of Trasacco, also the mayors of the cities of Avezzano, Celano and Tagliacozzo and other local administrators.

Great response also came from local schools involved in a series of inclusive activities including an unprecedented tournament with pairs of players made up of pupils and teachers.
