Ribbon cutting of the exhibitions and competition awards: the 100 km of Passatore is approaching

Tuesday 21 May at the Voltone della Molinella Art Gallery, in Faenza, the opening evening of the exhibition “FaïenceX100 – Faenza ceramics reward the 100 km of the Passatore” and of the photo galleries dedicated to the Florence-Faenza. At 6.45 pm the sports councilor of the Municipality of Faenza, Martina Laghi, cut the inaugural tricolor ribbon. Present at the inauguration and during the evening dedicated to running was the president of the Asd 100 km del Passatore Giordano Zinzani.

On the occasion of the evening at Molinella they were the winners of the competition for the “49th edition 100 km del Passatore Medal” awarded.

First place Maristella Servadei: the commission unanimously voted the work as the winner of the competition for the symbolic choice of the handshake as a meaning of union in diversity and, as children and young people teach us, it is precisely in play that differences are canceled out. In this case the game is symbolized by a circle of different hands clasping each other. Furthermore, the circularity of the composition lends itself well to the legibility of the medals.

Second place in the Francesca Dall’Olio Medal competition: the commission chose the medal which is made up of a moving human figure. The latter is generated by an anatomical repetition that evokes futurist taste. The fragments that make up the construction of the human figures represented well denote the concept of harmony given by the union of the individual abstract elements/fragments. On a perceptual level the composition plays on an alternating evidence between figurative and abstract.

Third place Agnese Loreti: the commission awarded the 3rd prize to the medal due to its cleanliness and aesthetic and conceptual clarity. The simple and powerful elements are appreciable such as the road (the shared path) which breaks the chains of the isolation of diversity, as well as the reference to the year which is visually broken in two almost to underline the passage between the recent dark period past and the ‘luminous present’ of normality.

The evening at Molinella was also an opportunity for award ceremony of the “Manifesto of the 50th edition 100 km del Passatore” competition.

First place is Martina Tarlazzi: according to the jury, the work stands out for its rigorous graphic balance which, as a whole, well conveys the sense of progress towards the goal which is intrinsic in the thoughts and deeds of the participants.

Second place is Alessandro Sorrentino: the original composition, while transmitting visual messages of the past (and therefore of the event’s deep-rooted tradition), managed to translate them with particularly incisive graphics.

Third place Salvatore Amato: a project capable of conveying the sense of mass sharing and participation of different people and populations.

From 7.15pm the historic speakers of the “Cento” Danny Frisoni and Daniele Menarini talked with the stars of running Lorenzo Lotti, Paolo Bravi and Federica Moroni during the evening “100 km running told by the protagonists”.
