Grand finale for the PAN Project (acronym for “Paesaggio Arte Natura”) a Cossignano, with events scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May. The initiative, which is part of the national campaign #FaiBiodiversità, is promoted by the FAI Youth Groups of the Marche, who have collaborated together to create a regional-scale project that celebrates the connection between Landscape, Art and Nature, promoting knowledge, protection and the valorisation of the Marche hinterland and its heritage. The FAI Youth group San Benedetto del Tronto has chosen the village of Cossignano, the hub of a series of events throughout the month of May and also next weekend.

First of all, visits to local farms, guardians of the environment and shapers of the landscape, which represent a unique opportunity to understand the link between human activities and the natural environment. After the great success of the “Oil Weekend” (with the visit of the “Poderi de Marte” company) and the “Bread Weekend” (with the visit of the “La Pagnotta” company), the 25th and 26th of May will close in style with the “Weekend of Wine”, which will see visits to the “Cantine D’Ercoli” and “Fiorano Organic Wineries” wineries. The visiting shifts, both on Saturdays and Sundays, are scheduled at 10.00, 11.00, 12.00, 15.00 and 16.00.

Among the proposals, the art exhibition “PAN, between myth and nature” also stands out, curated by the “Zanini Arte” gallery: a selection of works by six internationally renowned Italian contemporary artists, five painters (Alfonso Borghi, Andrea Vizzini, Antonio Nunziante, Marica Fasoli and Lamberto Melina) and a sculptor (Daniele Fortuna). Each artist interprets, with a unique sensitivity and very different artistic techniques (ranging from hyperrealism to chromatic materiality), classic characters through a contemporary filter, highlighting the intimate bond between humanity and the surrounding environment. The exhibition has already attracted many visitors to Palazzo Fassitelli and the Church of the Annunziata and will also remain open on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May from 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm.

Finally, the grand finale of PAN in Cossignano is scheduled for Saturday 25 May at 6.00 pm at the Church of the Annunziata: the conference “A look at the Future”, which concludes the cycle which has seen the themes of Landscape and Biodiversity. Alessandra Pellegrini, fundraiser for Cultural Institutions, will speak on the theme “Business and Culture: in dialogue for a new Renaissance” (we will talk about how to bring the world of business and the world of culture into dialogue, two assets that have made Italy unique in the world), and Vittorio Peretto, agrotechnician, landscape designer and artist, on the theme “Cerebral photosynthesis” (gardens will be discussed as a mirror of society and as a means of bringing people closer to understanding natural ecosystems).

Entrance to the exhibition does not require reservations, while for visits and conferences, reservations are recommended while places are available (a contribution to the FAI will be requested on site). For timetables, info and reservations, consult the website bit.ly/progetto-pan.

The PAN events in Cossignano are the result of the collaboration between the FAI Giovani San Benedetto del Tronto Group, the “Zanini Arte” gallery of San Benedetto Po (MN), the municipality of Cossignano and the Colombo family, owners of Palazzo Fassitelli, a splendid residence history of the village. The initiative also benefits from the patronage of the Province of Ascoli Piceno and the Marche Region.
