CALTANISSETTA – The names of the aspirants to the seat of Palazzo del Carmine have been made official with the closing of the deadlines for the presentation of the lists.
Five candidates for mayor of the Municipality of Caltanissetta
Five candidates for mayor in view of the administrative elections of next 8 and 9 June supported by 19 lists in total with 456 aspiring city councillors. The electoral programs and the aspiring councilors for each candidate were also presented.
Between these the outgoing mayor Roberto Gambino, 62 years old, who aims to obtain a second mandate supported by three lists i.e. 5 Star Movement 2050, mayor Gambino go ahead like this and De Luca Mayor of southern Sicily calls north freedom in Caltanissetta. His team of councilors includes well-known names in the city with previous experience at Palazzo del Carmine such as Fiorella Falci, professor and deputy mayor of the Messana Council; Grazia Giammusso, current deputy mayor of the council; Giovanni Magrì president of the City Council in the 5 Star Movement; the lawyer Sergio Iacona, formerly a municipal councilor and Maria Noemi Passaro, currently a municipal councilor in the Cateno De Luca party South calls north.
Another aspirant to the mayor’s seat Angelo Failla, 59 years old, official of the Agriculture Inspectorate and former councilor of the Campisi Council. The “Nuova Italia, Failla mayor” list supports him. Among the designated councilors: Liliana Aiera, opera singer and music teacher; Vania Talluto financial consultant, Rita Cinardi journalist, managing director of SeguoNews and correspondent for Ansa; Antonella Bonifacio physiatrist and teacher; Maurizio Salvaggio, municipal employee, head of Suap and Alfredo Fiaccabrino, formerly municipal councilor and vice-president of the Council.
Forza del Popolo nominates the entrepreneur Ignazio Antonio Riggi who has identified as possible councilors of his council: Fabrizio Falzone accountant, Ivo Giarratana insurer, Fabrizio Fama sportsman and Calogero Napoli professor.
The criminal lawyer and former president of the University Consortium Walter Tesauro, 62 years old, will be supported by seven lists: Forza Italia, Fratelli d’Italia, Lega-UDC, Christian Democracy, Azzurri for Caltanissetta – Tesauro Mayor, Giovanna Candura – Let’s resume the journey – Caltanissetta 2030, Noi Moderati. For his councilor team, Tesauro has relied on political experience such as the lawyer Oscar Aiello, current municipal councilor of the League; the engineer Calogero Adornetto, current advisor to Forza Italia; Salvatore Toti Petrantoni, owner of a driving school and city councilor; Gianluca Bruzzaniti, current city councilor and entrepreneur; the former city councilor Guido Del Popolo; the former mayor of Mussomeli Calogero Valenza. Among the other names also that of Giovanna Candura, former regional councilor of the Cuffaro council who will be its deputy mayor, the deputy Saverio Romano and the former mayor of Gela Angelo Fasulo.
