Avellino kick-off, tomorrow evening at 8pm, for the inter-force tournament “a football for legality” organized by the Provincial Command of the Avellino Financial Police led by Colonel Salvatore Minale as part of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the Corps of yellow flames. Participating in the tournament will be the teams of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Avellino, of the Lieutenant of the Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza of S.Angelo dei Lombardi, of the Carabinieri Command of Avellino, of the Avellino Police Headquarters, of the Penitentiary Police of the prison of Avellino, of the Avellino fire brigade command, of the 232 Transmissions regiment and of the Avellino journalists’ association.
Tomorrow evening the first match of the tournament will be played, which sees the active collaboration of CONI and the Avellino Referee Federation, at the Flipper-Manganelli centre, in the Parco district of Avellino.” The initiative was presented by Colonel Minale, who welcomed it today afternoon in the headquarters of the provincial flame command of Avellino the representatives of the police forces competing in the tournament “We wanted to take advantage of this occasion of the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the Guardia di Finanza to – declares Minale – launch a new message. And first of all, strengthen the already excellent relationships with the police forces present in the area. We have also involved the penitentiary police and firefighters with whom we work closely, after the establishment of the mountain rescue of the Guardia di Finanza of Guardia dei Lombardi and the journalists, partners who participate in our daily activities in different capacities and are spokespersons for our operated in the area. And thanks to the professionalism and competence demonstrated by the journalists, every day, an excellent relationship was created from the beginning not only with the financial police, but also with the other institutions and we therefore welcomed with pleasure the joining of their team to the tournament.”
But the provincial command of the yellow flames already has other initiatives planned. “In addition to naming the conference room after maestro and captain Antonio d’Elia, a citizen of Irpinia, native of Mirabella Eclano and director of the Corps band, there will be a series of events which will primarily involve young people. A competition has already started , which involved some Irpinian schools and entitled “250 years of history in tradition, the future” which is the motto chosen this year for the 250th anniversary of the Guardia di Finanza. At the end of the competition, in which we have involved the superintendent of studies of Avellino, there will be an awards ceremony, which will coincide with the Corps celebration scheduled for June 26th in Piazza Libertà in Avellino. Furthermore, the municipality of S.Angelo dei Lombardi will confer honorary citizenship on the financial police, an honor which it will be delivered in the presence of the interregional commander of the Guardia di Finanza, on 4 June, in the municipality of Altirpino.
