RAVENNA. 5 kilos of hashish divided into blocks and about a kilo of cocaine already packaged inside various food containers and vacuum bags, precision digital scales and vacuum machines, with attached bags identical to those used for packaging the narcotic substances. This is what was found in the home of an Italian couple by the Carabinieri of Ravenna. He, 40, and she, 36, were arrested for possession for the purpose of dealing drugs.
The man with some minor precedents, according to some recent information collected by the Carabinieri of Mezzano, responsible for the area, was suspected of dealing and possessing hashish at his home. The 40-year-old was reached at his home, as soon as he finished his working day as a worker. At the time of the check, the same man, together with his partner, began to get agitated and show clear signs of nervousness, accompanied by confused and senseless sentences, evidently because both were aware of having been discovered. Shortly afterwards, however, the man admitted his responsibility and spontaneously handed over over 100 grams of hashish which, according to him, he held for personal use. At that point the very scrupulous soldiers continued the search operations, extending them to all the rooms, even adjacent to the house, later discovering that in a room used as a storage/laundry, there was a real drug bazaar.
All the drugs and material were seized, while the two perpetrators, on the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Ravenna, were taken to the prison of Forlì and Ravenna. The specific control action is to be considered as a continuation of all those initiatives that the Carabinieri of the Ravenna Company have long undertaken to combat drug dealing.
