Two troublesome drunks arrested in Oltre Sempione. The balance sheet of the “minismart” operation
Legnano – A complaint for an irregular person, sanctions for the use of alcohol and harassing behavior and a fine for a wandering dog: these are the irregular behaviors that emerged thanks to the extraordinary services over the weekend for the local police forces of the Sempione axis which took place from 8pm at 2am, involving the commands of Legnano, Rescaldina, Cerro Maggiore, San Vittore Olona, Parabiago, Nerviano-Pogliano, Canegrate, San Giorgio su Legnano, Busto Garolfo, Casorezzo, and Arconatewith a deployment of approximately 26 operators.
An aggregate service was carried out (the so-called “minismart”) by engaging 12 patrols in their respective territories, which patrolled the major arteries and meeting places with traffic, urban and anti-degradation police activities and commercial police. Beyond Sempione, he was reported and then reported for non-compliance with the expulsion order issued by the Police Commissioner; in the Cantoni area and in Piazza del Popolo two people were fined for use of alcohol in public areas and harassing behaviour.
In Piazza San Magno, a Rottweiler that was wandering free was recovered by two townspeople: the dog, still a puppy, was easily caught and was handed over to the Local Police operators present on site. The owner will be sanctioned on the basis of the urban police regulation (administrative fine from 250 to 500 euros) and pursuant to article 672 of the penal code (mismanagement of animals). The traffic police checks, aimed at repressing the most dangerous infringements for safety and carried out in synergy and with mixed patrols, concerned both the major traffic routes and the streets of the city centers allowing the control of 320 vehicles, ascertaining 97 violations of the highway code, including: 21 for exceeding the speed limits, two for lack of insurance coverage, three for using a mobile phone while driving, five for failure to use seat belts, five for failure to inspect, four for driving while intoxicated; as well as withdrawing six driving licenses and seizing and placing five under administrative detention for lack of insurance or driving licence. The control of places where young people gather and areas at risk of deterioration (parks and public gardens, pedestrian areas) made it possible to identify 164 people with complaints of violations of municipal regulations or the detection of some crimes. In Legnano, a Tunisian in his early twenties, illegally on Italian territory, was stopped in the area.
