11 illegal workers and almost 400 counterfeit items were discovered

Pesaro, 21 May 2024 – Without a contract and without protection of any kind. They are the eleven workers discovered by the Pesaro Financial Police who, during the month of May, combed through various companies, intensifying checks, in particular, over the last weekend. The checks were primarily oriented towards “undeclared work”, but also to the sale of counterfeit and unsafe productsdrug use and tax crimes.

Twenty businesses were checked by the financiers to verify compliance with labor regulations: they were identified 11 illegal workers (out of 54 identified workers). And not only that: a place that used undeclared work was found to be even unknown to the tax authorities. 3 new “young” businesses (i.e. opened for no more than six months) were also checked with the aim of preventively identifying violations of tax obligations. There were also checks on receipts: 32, in particular, there were checks in this sense and they were found 13 irregularities; On the other hand, 3 checks were carried out on the Rai special subscription with the discovery of 2 irregularities.

As part of the “on the road” activities, 221 vehicles were checked, 331 people were identified, 6 reports were issued regarding violations of the highway code, 7 checks were carried out on traveling goods and 12 checks were carried out regarding excise duties on tankers and roadside distributors. They were also seized 60 grams of marijuana and 14.30 grams of hashish, with the free denunciation of two subjects to the Pesaro Prosecutor’s Office. Finally they were placed underneath criminal seizure of 392 counterfeit items of clothing as well as administratively 185 household items for violation of labeling obligations.
