The escalation of violence and vandalism outrages and worries us greatly” the members, workers and volunteers of the Jobel Consortium admit it, following yet another intimidating incendiary act perpetrated within Parco Pitagora, to the detriment of the artistic work” San Nikolaos”, created and inaugurated a few weeks ago by maestro Massimo Sirelli.
This is the third fire set in the space of a few weeks, this time an artistic work was hit which represents a hymn to welcome, inclusion, life to establish the bond of the City of Crotone with the Mediterranean, but also the resilience and generosity of the Crotone community always ready to reach out to welcome.
Values that Jobel promotes daily through human, social and cultural regeneration activities, but unfortunately ignoble vandals try to devastate, especially close to successful events, such as the Leonardo da Vinci 3D exhibition.
“For this reason, asking ourselves whether behind these acts of vandalism there is the direction of someone who does not like the development promoted within this common good, we demand greater protection for those who place themselves at the community’s solidarity service” comment the Jobel members, thanking the community which is once again showing support and closeness, but above all asking the municipal administration for prompt intervention to restore the safety devices within Parco Pitagora and for greater control interventions from the police.
