Sylvie is a single mother with two children to look after whose youngest, Sofiane, is quite problematic. Their life is chaotic and messy, and Sylvie, although affectionate and involved, is also a little rough in her household management. One day, while her mother is at work trying to support the family, Sofiane gets hurt and ends up in hospital. Social services take him away from home to send him to an institution, and Sylvie has no choice but to wage a battle in an attempt to get her son back home. The dispute takes place between a courageous mother who however makes several mistakes along her path and an institutional (and bureaucratic) machine which is apparently indifferent, but which still has the protection of minors at heart. And the dilemma becomes: does the maternal emotional bond matter more or the need to protect the youngest? Nothing to loose it is the first fiction work of the young director Delphine Deloget who comes from reality cinema and does not want to derogate from that reality, even in telling a story that she has carefully scripted herself.
