From Agliana to Pistoia: among the players who wore black and green this year, some can also be used for the new orange course
That the path to give life to one new football club representing the city of Pistoia is something almost done is no longer a mystery. Therefore, if at a corporate level all the pieces of the puzzle are starting to fit together, the question linked to the team that will wear the orange uniform next year is much more uncertain. Surely there will be many purchaseshowever, it is equally necessary to start again from a base – more or less conspicuous – of players, that is, those who played the 2023/2024 Serie D in the shadow of “Bellucci”.
Let’s start from an assumption: it was the Aglianese season extremely disappointing, there are not many players who, at least theoretically, would deserve a reconfirmation with their eyes closed. On the other hand, however, we will also have to see what the results will be initial goals of the new company, an aspect that could obviously change the cards on the table. THE ESSENTIALS
The first can only be Roberto Marinoprobably the best black-green player of the championship recently archived. The class of 1998, who arrived last summer, immediately demonstrated that he can be a essential element for Maraia first and then Baiano. The most solid security of the Aglianese 23/24, precisely, was the Sicilian midfielder, capable of interpret the double phase in a sumptuous manner, both with the ball at his feet and with possession in the hands of the opponents. And on defense? Matteo Flawswhich initially had not managed to carve out much space for itself, has slowly shown its capabilities. Grimquick, good at marking and careful in advance… Baiano has often praised him, preferring him, in some circumstances, even to defenders who are much more experienced than him.
