There was an attempted theft during the night between Sunday 19th and Monday 20th May in Arezzo against a goldsmith company. The assault by a gang of professionals occurred in via Sergio Ramelli, in the via Fiorentina area.
The failed attempt from the roof
According to what was reported by the evening edition of the news of Teletruria the coup would have failed: the potential thieves in fact ran away, without being able to get their hands on the precious items, around 3 in the morning. The gang would have planned an incursion from the roof: the criminals would have in fact used a ladder to reach the top of the building that houses the goldsmith company, then they would have worked to remove a panel and gain access to the inside of the structure.
The security guard’s alarm
At that point, the intervention of a night vigilante was decisive who, during the night patrol, noticing the strange movements on the top of the warehouse, set off, alerting both the owners of the company and the police. The criminals, seeing themselves discovered, ran away, giving up on the possible theft. Following the alarm, the Carabinieri of the Arezzo company rushed to the scene and are investigating the incident, as well as the firefighters of the Arezzo command who checked the conditions of the structure after the attempted access inside by of the band.
