For the Cccp-Fedeli alla Lineawhich will begin at 9pm concert which marks the return to the Italian stages 40 years after the first single (and what a stage! The Clash in 1980, then only event evenings, like the one for Lucio Dalla), Bologna is the city where they managed to get their first record album published ‘Orthodoxy‘, from Jumpy/Helena Velena’s independent label Attack Punk, who saw them in Carpi at a small punk festival and was struck by them.
Then on October 3, 1990, when the two Germanys returned to being one nation after the Fall of the Berlin Wallthen the band collapses too, end of story.
And it returns in October 2023 at the Cloisters of San Pietro in Reggio Emilia with the exhibition ‘Felicitations!-Cccp Fedeli alla linea 1984-2024’an idea born after that Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, Massimo Zamboni, Annarella Giudici And Danilo Fatur, they meet on the set of ‘Kissing Gorbachev’ by Andrea Paco Mariani and Luigi d’Alife, a documentary film still scheduled in many cinemas in the region, which reconstructs that incredible tour in Russia born from the madness of a group of young dreamers from Melpignano, small communist enclave in the province of Lecce, which in 1988 led Cccp to perform between Moscow and Leningrad.
About the song ‘Emilia Paranoica’ cwhich over the decades has become a brand for talking about a piece from our region, it was played in the Berlin set list (how could we not perform it anyway?) and its first performance, to resume the origins of the group conceived in Berlin in 1981 and came into the world in Reggio, it happened in Carpi in 1982 and is contained in the EP ‘Compagni, città, bambini, partigiani’ (also Attack Punk), where ‘Morire’ and ‘Sono come tu mi want’ are also heard.
During this evening’s live show, they should perform songs from the four studio albums, ‘Affinità e divergenze’ from 1986, ‘Socialismo e barbarie’ from 1987, ‘Songs Prayers Dances of the II Millennium – Section Europe’ from 1989, ‘Epica Etica Etnica Pathos’ of 1990, the fourth and last album which on the cover and inside sees the band portrayed by Luigi Ghirri at Villa Pirondini, an abandoned eighteenth-century farmhouse located in the Reggio countryside, which inside became a mixing room for the work.
The evening will have start at 9pm but entry will already be possible from 7pm, also because around 9000 people, those who managed to get a ticket, are not few.
Two i gates to allow greater ease of influx, one from Piazza Nettuno and the other from Piazza Re Enzo. The sector for the public will be unique.
The stage will have its back to Palazzo d’Accursio and the square will be cordoned off by Palazzo Re Enzo, Piazza del Nettuno, Archiginnasio and Piazza IV Novembre.
Inside the area, in addition to the existing catering places, the Estragon bar point will be operational, where it will be possible to consume the drinks in a glass to take home in recyclable polyurethane, made in a limited edition, with the writing Cccp-Fedeli alla Linea, the date and place of the concert.
A space has been provided for disabled people and their companions in the churchyard of the Basilica of San Petronio.
