At the Local Economy Forum in Faenza we will talk about the challenges and opportunities of the manufacturing enterprise. Appointment on May 23rd

The Local Economy Forum of Faenza, which continues the May 23rd at 4.30pm in the’Room 3 of Faventia Sales, will have as its theme the new challenges and opportunities of the manufacturing company and will be divided into three in-depth groups: Relationships and networking, Knowledge and innovations, New services and opportunities. The aim is to develop knowledge and collaboration and, at the same time, bring out the needs and proposals of company managers in the face of major contemporary challenges.

Manufacturing is one of the key sectors of the economy of the six Municipalities of the Faenza Union: 574 companies, with some of international importance, 5,800 employees and 2.1 billion euros of added value. The most relevant statistical data (ISTAT source) is that employment and added value both reveal a favorable trend from 2019 to 2023, +0.9% and +0.7% respectively, despite the fact that there are two years of global pandemic behind us and one from the flood.

According to several world research centres, such as the Global Risk of the World Economic Forum, these are in fact events with a high economic impact including: Breakdown of globalization and increase in international tensions, Climate change, Artificial Intelligence, Human capital (in particular young under 35) and New social behaviors.

The municipal administration of Faenza is aware of these great challenges therefore deemed it useful to encourage a new process of listening and collaboration by focusing attention on people and diversity to identify the choices to be made to provide support for the sustainable development of businesses and the territory.

The meeting with companies in the manufacturing sector is the first of a series cycle which will include the ICT and Services Company in June, the Agro-Food Company in September and the Tourism and Commerce Company in October.

The Local Economy Forum is an initiative of the municipal administration of Faenza, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Table of Romagna Faentina, Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna and with the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce of Ferrara and Ravenna and with the technical support of consultants and analysts from Studio Giaccardi & Associati of Ravenna.
