It is the first instinctive comment made by Francesco Regini, one of the people from Recanati who was traveling on the bus targeted by the group of Vis ultras. If that object had hit the door, the shattered glass would have hit the driver in turn with consequences that I don’t even want to imagine.” Another testimony to the madness that took place in Pesaro is provided by Massimiliano Ubaldi, pharmacist. “I heard a shot that immediately scared us. When I saw what had happened, I understood the tragedy we had come close to.” The bus was full of children with their parents, including the former mayor of Recanati Francesco Fiordomo with his wife and two twins. After what happened, the driver, escorted by the police, stopped at the first rest area of a service station. The indignation was unanimous. Roberta Pennacchioni, former councilor for youth policies, was on one of the three buses that left from Recanati to follow the yellow and red colours. “A huge disappointment for the team, for the club and for all the people of Recanati who believed and hoped for salvation.
