On Saturday 25 May the ‘The Right Food… as it is made’ project continues at the Campagna Amica Ravenna Market (via Canalazzo 59), a calendar of experiential meetings dedicated to children and families to discover the micro -agricultural supply chains and the ‘path’ of the right food from field to table.

Promoted by Campagna Amica Ravenna and Coldiretti, with the support of the Ravenna Chamber of Commerce, the first game-school of civic-food education for the whole family this Saturday celebrates bees, guardians of biodiversity, and the Mediterranean diet, a guarantee of health and well-being, with the “Face to face with the beekeeper” appointment.

From 10.30am, games and knowledge will be mixed to increase awareness among young people and parents of a culture of healthy eating and environmental protection which has the protection of bees as one of its fundamental and priority aspects. The families will meet the beekeeper Max Fabbri to take a journey with him from the bees to the earth. This will be followed by the honey extraction ritual and a nice and tasty snack based on honey made in Romagna!

Below is the calendar of upcoming events which will be managed directly by the farms of the Market and the Campagna Amica Ravenna Network:

– Saturday 22 June: welcome summer, welcome fruit!

– Saturday 28 September: from cow to cheese

– Saturday 5 October: Inside the bottle, from the grape to the harvest

– Saturday 23 November: oil, the panacea for the whole family

By completing the course, participating children and parents will be able to obtain the ‘Diploma of conscious consumer’ which will give the right to special promotions on market products and zero km shopping.

Please note that the Campagna Amica Ravenna Market is open every Tuesday and Saturday from 8.30am to 1pm and on Fridays from 2.30pm to 7pm.

On the stalls, managed directly by local farmers and breeders, consumers can always find seasonal, fresh and processed products from the agricultural supply chain with guaranteed origin: from fruit and vegetables to Romagna blackberry meats and cured meats, from native wines to cheeses and yoghurts, from eggs to honey, but also jams, extra virgin olive oil, fruit juices, farm beer, bread, fresh pasta and much more.

Furthermore, again at the Market, it is possible to sign the popular initiative European law proposal “No fake in Italy”, started from Brenner, and promoted by Coldiretti to extend the obligation to indicate the origin on all food products on the market in the EU, thus protecting farmers’ incomes and consumers’ health.
