The words of the Cagliari Primavera coach, Fabio Pisacane, following the end of the young islanders’ season
The Spring of Cagliari closes the championship in seventh place, missing the playoffs by just one point. A goal that would have further rewarded the great work done by the players and by Fabio Pisacane. The last match, played at the home ofHellas Verona, ended with a 5-3 victory. The first three goals were scored by Bolzan, Ardau And Accounts in the first half hour of play. Vinciguerra brought the score to 4-0, but the yellow-blues responded with Agbonifo (on penalty) e Cisse. Idrissi he then closed the accounts definitively: Vermesan sets the final score at 5-3. «We close with another very valid and probative test, a real match that is very useful for our journey on a collective and individual level. Net of the absences (Simonetta, Trepy, Konate, Achour, Malfitano and Cogoni) Cagliari offered a solid performance, which demonstrated how the principles and ideas on which we have been working for almost a year have been assimilated by the boys. It was a very intense season, which saw – beyond the improvements in the collective – the growth of every single player and this makes me very proud. First of all because, as I have reiterated several times, the boys have never stopped working hard and fighting in every single training session and match. We close with a smile, aware that what we achieved represents what we deserved on the field, and is the result of a growth path that involved 36 players, the last in order of time being today’s debut of Tronci.
