The Amici di Mazzo Cultural Group has also promoted the traditional “Calendimaggio” poetry and prose competition for children during this school year, in agreement with the Angela Library Piras, the municipal library of Villa Burba, the municipal library of Arese. On Sunday 26 May 2024 at 8.30 pm the awards ceremony will take place at the Auditorium in via Meda 20 in Rho. The competition is open to students of lower and upper secondary schools located in the municipalities of Rho and Arese. This year marks its 27th edition, as regards writing in verse. For the prose section, entitled “A story for you”, reserved for two and three years of high school, we are now in its eighth edition. Dozens of students participated in the competition: their creations will be collected in a souvenir booklet, to don’t forget the effort invested in recent months. As usual, the winning students will be rewarded by the school managers, the teachers involved and the local authorities. There will be, as always, an official ranking, but for the promoters, all those who put themselves on the line, trying to give written form to their thoughts and emotions, won.
