Faenza: Local Economy Forum. New challenges and opportunities for the manufacturing company

After the opening of the Local Economy Forum with the round table on 23 April, the initiative of the municipal administration of Faenza continues, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Table of Romagna Faentina, Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna and with the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce of Ferrara and Ravenna.

Appointment on May 23rd at 4.30 pm in Room 3 of Faventia Sales with the new challenges and opportunities of the manufacturing company.

Manufacturing is one of the key sectors of the economy of the six Municipalities of the Faenza Union: 574 companies, with some of international importance, 5,800 employees and 2.1 billion euros of added value. The most relevant statistical data (ISTAT source) is that employed and value added both reveal a favorable trend from 2019 to 2023, +0.9% and +0.7% respectively, despite the fact that we have had two years of global pandemic and one since the flood behind us.

The event on May 23rd will be divided into three in-depth groups: Relationships and networking, Knowledge and innovations, New services and opportunities.

The aim is to develop knowledge and collaboration and, at the same time, bring out the needs and proposals of company managers in the face of major contemporary challenges.

According to several world research centres, such as the Global Risk of the World Economic Forum, these are in fact events with a high economic impact including: Breakdown of globalization and increase in international tensions, Climate change, Artificial Intelligence, Human capital (in particular young under 35) and New social behaviors.

The municipal administration of Faenza, aware of these great challenges, has therefore deemed it useful to encourage a new process of listening and collaboration by focusing attention on people and diversity to identify the choices to be made to provide support for the sustainable development of businesses and the territory .

The meeting with companies in the manufacturing sector is the first of a cycle which will include the ICT and Services company in June, the Agri-food company in September and the Tourism and Commerce company in October.

A path of cognitive wealth and innovation conceived by the Economic Development and Smart City Area of the Romagna Faentina Union with the technical support of the consultants and analysts of the Giaccardi & Associati firm of Ravenna.
