On the D08 Gallarate-Gattico branchAnd the closure of the section between the connection with the A8 Milan-Varese and Besnate, towards the A26 Genoa Voltri-Gravellona Toce, was cancelled, which was scheduled from 9pm this evening, Monday 20th, to 5am on Tuesday 21st May; consequently, the connection branch that leads from the A8 to the D08 Gallarate-Gattico branch will be regularly open.
The closure of the aforementioned section remains confirmed, dto 9pm on Tuesday 21st to 5am on Wednesday 22nd May, to allow for paving works.
Alternatively, it is advisable to exit at the Gallarate station earlier, at km 29+900 of the A8, take the ordinary road system: SP341, SP26 and SP49 until you reach the Besnate station, to enter the D08 Gallarate-Gattico branch ; those who pass the Gallarate station will have to continue on the A8 towards Varese and will be able to exit at Solbiate Arno, at km 35+700, get onto the SP26 and SP49 and enter the Gallarate-Gattico branch at the Besnate station.
Consequently, for those traveling on the A8 and coming from Milan or Varese, the connection branch on the D08 Gallarate-Gattico branch, in the direction of the A26 Genova Voltri-Gravellona Toce, will be closed.
Alternatively, the following itineraries are recommended:
for those coming from Milan, anticipate the exit at Gallarate, at km 29+900 of the A8, take the ordinary road network: SP341, SP26 and SP49 and enter the Gallarate-Gattico branch in Besnate; those who pass Gallarate will have to continue on the A8 towards Varese and will be able to exit at Solbiate Arno, at km 35+700, take the SP26 and the SP49 and enter the Gallarate-Gattico branch in Besnate;
for those coming from Varese, anticipate the exit at the Solbiate Arno junction, at km 35+700 of the A8, take the ordinary road network: SP26 and SP49 and enter the Gallarate-Gattico branch in Besnate; anyone who passes the Solbiate Arno junction will have to continue on the A8 towards Milan and will be able to exit at Gallarate, at km 29+900, take the SP341, SP26 and SP49 and enter the Gallarate-Gattico branch at the Besnate station.
