The Tc Terranova Olbia men’s B1 tennis team was presented

The Terranova Tennis Club of Olbia presented its team for the men’s B1 series championship. The training, a mix of experience and youth, focuses on the youth of the academy to achieve the ambitious seasonal objectives. The declared objective is salvation, with an eye on the playoffs, which we narrowly missed last year. President Giuseppe Bianco expressed the hope of seeing a large crowd: “We hope that our crowd will give us a hand.” He also thanked the sponsors, the Sardinia Region and the Municipality for their support. A special wish was addressed to Matteo Masala, who returned from the United States after completing his university studies. The team sees the entry of two notable foreign players: the German Mats Moraing, winner of the Turin Challenger in 2022, and the Frenchman Arthur Weber. Next to them, the confirmation of Federico Salomone and the return of Matteo Masala. Leonardo Mazzucchelli, Andrea Mendola and Davide Vargiu complete the lineup, together with Florian Broska. Captain Andrea Frasconi underlined the importance of creating a virtuous mix between professionals and young players from the academy: “The return of Matteo Masala allows us to raise the level of our tennis players. We are aiming for safe salvation and then trying to secure the playoffs.” On the third day of the championship, Tc Terranova won the derby against Porto Torres with a clear 5-1. After a draw against Play Pisana of Rome on the first day and a break for the Italian Internazionali, the team is ready to return to the field with new additions for the 2024 season. Present at the presentation were, in addition to the president Giuseppe Bianco, the vice-president Nino Seu, sports director Lorenzo Cossu, club director Valentino Coizza and other members of the board of directors.
