Professor Michele Sartori

At the age of almost 73, professor Michele Sartori of the San Benedetto high school, in via Genocchi, continues his proud teaching activity. Originally from Mareto, a hamlet of Farini, he has been retired since 2015, but does not leave his inseparable chair of literature.

“The students allow me to see reality with different eyes”

“It is a pleasure to teach students, even the exuberant ones – his words -. “They allow me to see reality with different eyes. They taught me to be authoritative.”
It was the principal of San Benedetto, Fabrizio Bertamoni, who allowed him to continue teaching after retirement: “After graduating and military service, I began teaching in 1978 by doing substitutions in Bobbio, Bettola, Castel San Giovanni, and again at Leonardo da Vinci and Respighi”, says Sartori, retracing his years of teaching.

“After these experiences I started at Isii Marconi where I remained for 33 years. After retirement, I received a phone call from the president of the San Benedetto high school and he asked me to do a substitute job for a month – concludes Sartori -. In this short time I got along very well with both the students and the other teachers. So why not continue?”.
