The robotics festival opened today in Livorno, the dissemination event organized by Tech Care Foundation, and supported by the Tuscany Regional Council, 
which aims to present challenges, results and applications in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence. “We have joined this initiative with conviction, demonstrating a strong desire to be able to organize part of it in Livorno too” declared the general secretary
of the Adsp MTS,
Matteo Paroli, participating in the opening event, held today in Fortezza Vecchia. “The choice of Livorno was not random – he added – the port has long been at the forefront for the establishment of exploration activities of absolute importance. We tested 5G when the technology was still in its infancy and it is thanks to the successes achieved in this field that today the port has managed to become the first test bed to test progress in the field of autonomous navigation (Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship – 5G MASS), a system that aggregates real-time information shared between the ship and the port digital environments”. The
general secretary recalled that thanks to MONI.CA, the monitoring and control platform of the AdSP of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea, the port has for some time now integrated heterogeneous data coming from a variety of information sources, allowing the development of quality, with reference to different areas, ranging from environmental monitoring (eg first report on the Carbon Footprint) to real analyzes for decision support (algorithms for Business Intelligence on data). “Thanks to its port, Livorno is a candidate to be one of the points of reference for technological innovation” concluded Paroli. “We hope that for the next ones too
years the port city can regularly host this festival, an event of absolute importance for our port, which does justice to those who make innovative experimentation a flag of their action”.
