record-breaking Italian debut for Francesco Pagliarini

There couldn’t have been a better debut in the Italian national team for the very young sprinter of Atletica Fano Techfem Francesco Pagliarini.

During the international meeting “Roma Sprint Festival” which took place in the splendid setting of the Stadio dei Marmi in Rome, the Italians of the under 18 and under 20 4×100 relay teams took to the track in a preparation test for the next international events, the European Championships for the under 18s and World Championships for the under 20s.
The Italian under 18 quartet made up of Francis Pala, Francesco Pagliarini, Daniele Orlando and Leo Dominis reaches the finish line, stopping the clock at 40″90 and rewriting the Best Italian Performance of the 4×100 under 18 which had stood for 48 years (previous 41″10).

Francesco’s first blue jersey was embellished by the presence of Olympic Champion Marcel Jacobs in the 100m.
