The Aston Martin Vantage it has made a real leap up both in terms of quality, but also in terms of price, costing now $191,000. With new interior and with a motor 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8the car has also been totally rethought and delivers an adrenaline-filled and very safe drive.

The 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine from Mercedes-AMG , features larger turbochargers and more aggressive cams but not only that. In fact, the combustion chambers have been modified and the compression ratio has been further lowered. The Vantage has an impressive output of 665 HP, making it the most powerful variant of the V8 AMGat least until today.

But there’s more. An innovative control system from the traction nine-stage allows the driver to precisely adjust the percentage of wheel slip relative to speed.

This is possible thanks to an integrated controller from Bosch, which uses the braking system, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential and adaptive dampers to manage the vehicle’s performance. The hardware is really high quality, with the differential being able to go from fully open to 100% locked in just 135ms.

When it comes to the driving experience and safety, the Vantage is equipped with many cutting-edge devices. The 6D-IMU analyzes how the car is moving, for example, and the integrated Brake Slip Control (IBC) adjusts the braking force at each wheel to help keep the trajectory in line. curve while Brake Splip Vestoring (BSV) optimizes the use of brakes to always keep the car stable when cornering.

Furthermore, thanks to Integrated Traction Control (ITC) and Traction Slip Vectoring (TSV), the car always maintains good grip and slip is also optimized to improve steering, increasing safety and performance.

At the guide the car literally eats up the road, although it must be said, it is not always very easy to manage. The philosophy behind it is clearly based on performance, its noise level is within acceptable levels and, in general, the ride quality is excellent and improved compared to the old Vantage.

The interior they are totally new although similar to those of DB12. Knobs and switches, very pleasant to the touch, are made of knurled metal and with a discreet feel for the user.

However, there are still some problems: The volume control is placed in a position that, when operated, is easy to hit the seat heating control. The instrument panel then has a resolution and frame rate that are decidedly low. However, the parent company has assured that it is working to resolve these flaws.

Costing approx 176,000 euros ($191,000 list price), it is placed in a different and more elite market compared to the old models.

Aston Martin is also working on its first electric cars expected in 2026.
