Directly from Australia, Private Function live in Turin, who in less than an hour overwhelmed the whole Blah Blah with their adrenaline rush!

The evening of last May 16th at Blah Blah in Turin was dedicated to punk, the real kind that is very reminiscent of the Ramones and the Sex Pistols, with a band that arrived from far away Australia for their European tour. That of the Private Function is a punk played in the space of just under an hour complete with mosh pits in the audience and stage diving, with a Chris Penney (singer of the band) who didn’t spare himself in anything at all!

THE Private Function are undoubtedly one of the wildest bands on the Australian music scene and, as they release their third album ‘370HSSV 0773H’, it’s absolutely clear that they are still at the top of their game when it comes to the punk scene. On August 16, 2019, the group released its debut studio album titled ‘St. Anger’ with both the title and artwork replicating Metallica’s album of the same name. In June 2020, however, the second studio album arrives ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’…. Curiosity of this album was that 50 copies allegedly contained real bags of cocaine enclosed during printing. Followed by the two EPs ‘The First Two Tapes On a 12’ in 2021, to then see a return to the track, last February 2023, with their third studio album ‘370HSSV 0773H’, released via his own label Still On Top Records. The first 3000 vinyl copies of the album featured a scratch-off cover. The winner’s cover revealed three matching icons, and its owner won a signed proof of the album, $2999 in cash, and a photo of his face printed on all subsequent pressings of the record. But not only that, i Private Function they also released a vinyl variant of the album filled with the band members’ urine, limited to 50 copies.

The Turin concert opened with ‘Jusavinageez’, the first track of their latest work, and the mosh pit in the audience was already at its maximum! We continue with ‘I Dunno What I’m Doing Anymore’, ‘No Hat, No Play’ and so on with other successes of the band between mosh pits and stage diving up to the Abba cover ‘SOS’. The song closed the concert ‘Duct Tape’taken from the album ‘Rock in Roll’ of 2017.

A concert that lasted just under an hour, but with a tremendous amount of energy among the audience and musicians!
