They ride their motorbikes ‘doing wheelies’ and have their friends film them and then post them on social media. It happens on the seafront of Naplesdenounces the Green MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, and it is “a phenomenon that must be stopped immediately.” In the images of the videos that were sent to him “we see very young centaurs proceeding at full throttle, doing wheelies and standing up on the saddle of the scooter while all around others film their evolutions with their cell phones”.
According to Borrelli, «the challenges that rage on social media must be monitored by the Postal Police who must trace the protagonists, including those who film them and encourage them, to identify them and penalize them harshly. Starting from the seizure of vehicles and financial sanctions appropriate to the gravity of the actions they commit. In one of the videos sent, the scooter runs and wheelies along the seafront a few meters away from the place where Elvira Zibra was run over and killed”, says the parliamentarian.
«Where common sense, intelligence and a sense of responsibility do not arrive, there must be the presence of the State which – he concludes – must intervene in an exemplary way to prevent new deaths through territorial control, web patrolling on challenges and sanctions exemplary for criminals.”
