In an evening that kept 4,484,000 spectators glued to the screen (31.8 share), Sarah was crowned winner of the latest edition of “Amici di Maria De Filippi”, beating the talented dancer Marisol in an all-female final which closed the 2023-2024 edition. “I dedicate this award to my family who has always supported me, since I sang in my bedroom”, said the young singer immediately after lifting the trophy.
From the ranks of the underdogs to victory: in this edition of the talent show Sarah represented a real surprise. Her story, inside the most famous school on TV, is a hymn to work, determination and perseverance: an example of how raw talent and passion can make the difference. Sarah began her journey a little quietly, underestimated by both the judges and the public, but, episode after episode, she exploded showing growth both vocally and in stage presence.
Her coach Lorella Cuccarini was fundamental in her journey, giving her confidence by taking her to the evening class and working not only on her technique but also on her self-esteem. Sarah’s first words after the victory were a mixture of disbelief and gratitude: “I’m still realizing what happened: coming in here without knowing anything and now I’m looking back at everything I did. It’s an incredible thing.”
Born in Vigevano, in the province of Pavia, in 2006, the young singer-songwriter is widely followed on social media and defines herself as stubborn, messy, independent and competitive. In September 2023 she entered the Amici school and during the program she released some unreleased songs including ‘Touché’, ‘Viole e violini’ and ‘Mappamondo’. Her EP, ‘Sarah’, was also released on May 17th with Warner Music Italy. The EP contains 6 tracks including ”Sexy Magica’, the new single, written by Raffaele Esposito and Giampiero Gentile, which, at the time of its release, confirmed itself as the most listened to unreleased single among the band’s singles. contestants of Amici 23.
