Rando Gravel Puglia, a day to discover the Dauni Mountains

With the Rando Gravel Puglia, scheduled for Sunday May 26th 2024, here we go discovering the Dauni Mountains, the small chain located in the subpennine area on the border between northern Puglia and Campania. The event will start (8-9 am, former convent of San Domenico) and arrive at Troyabout twenty kilometers south-west of Foggia.

The initial part of the route (100 kilometers for a total difference in altitude of 1,350 metres) winds along the Via Francigena and the Frassati path, discovering Lucera, candidate capital of culture 2026, the oasis of Lake Pescara and Castelluccio Valmaggiore. They will lick each other the waterfalls of the Freddo torrent without forgetting Torre Guevara and the rural arteries of Daunia. Minimally signposted route, GPX track to follow with cycle computer, smartphone or roadbook.

The registration fee (18 euros online on the ARI-Auxas portal; 25 euros on site on the day of the event) includes the welcome pack, two intermediate refreshments and the final refreshment at the former convent of San Domenicooffered by the Alba d’Oro restaurant.
