The Volunteer Services Center of the province of Taranto ETS has recently equipped itself with the Scientific Committee, a body made up of five members appointed by the Board of Directors from among experts and scholars of volunteering, and more generally of the Third Sector, as well as of the topics covered by the activities of CSV Taranto.
The members of the Scientific Committee, presented to over one hundred members during the Assembly to approve the 2023 budget, are Giuseppe Ambrosio, President and CEO of Società Editoriale VITA Spa; Giovanni Guarino, Head of CREST educational and territorial animation projects; Anna Paola Lacatena, Sociologist Department of Pathological Addictions ASL Taranto; Carlo Martello, General Secretary of Confcooperative Taranto and Antonio Panico, Director of LUMSA Taranto and Episcopal Vicar for Social Pastoral Care, Work, Justice and Custody of Creation of the Archdiocese of Taranto.
Announcing the news – it is the first time since its birth, in fact, that CSV Taranto has equipped itself with such a body – President Francesco Riondino commented «we are sure that the figures identified, who have been close to CSV Taranto for some time, will provide an important contributed to the development of the action of our Volunteer Service Center, helping to make it even more effective. In a crucial moment of transformation for volunteering and the third sector, and consequently also for CSV Taranto, in consideration of their varied profiles and great experience with social issues, the five members of the Board of Directors will be able to best direct our action of promotion and support of this world so that it can be increasingly closer to the needs of the local community”.
