Softball A2: Dalmine Crocetta seeks redemption against Lucca

After the double defeat suffered in Rovigo, Dalmine Crocetta returns to the field this afternoon (Game-1 at 4.00 pm and Game-2 at 0.30 am after the end of the first match) on the home diamond of San Pancrazio to seek redemption in the double challenge against Le Pantere di Lucca, currently third in the group standings with a two point lead.

The Tuscans represent an obstacle to be taken very seriously and have players of a good level for the category on their roster: the best in the batter’s box is Alessia Colenghi (10 out of 21 at a .476 batting average), followed by Martina Di Benedetto ( 8 for 17 with a .471 batting average) and Sara Bartoli (8 for 19, at a .421 average). Among the blue-and-whites, at the moment the two best in the box are Rebecca Portunato and Carlotta Mori, both with a .364 batting average (4 out of 11).

Manager Davide Reverberi will be able to face this double challenge with a greater range of choices compared to the Rovigo trip: in fact, receiver Nicole Zerbini returns for Game-1 and Federica Bianchi and Nicole Campori will be available. Expected next week is the “American” Valentina Tegoni, fresh from her fourth year of high school in the USA at Cokeville High School, during which she took part in the school championship and particularly stood out.
