The story between them had started very well Vincenzo Plescia and the Messina with three goals scored in the first four home outings with Turris, Avellino and Giugliano, then the attacker stumbled, finding the goal only against Sorrento and Monterosi in the second round. What has never been lacking, however, is the desire to fight for the shield-white shirt, a quality more than appreciated by the fans. Now that his contract has come to an end, Plescia also receives the usual social greeting:
“I wanted to wait a few days to best express what I felt here because I didn’t know where to start. Messina, I had high expectations of you, but you exceeded them all: right from the start I felt the warmth of the fans and the city, I always felt at home. I have never held back, I have always given my all for this shirt. It was an intense year, full of sacrifices and difficulties, of sweat for our team. Thank you for making me fall in love with your wonderful city. I don’t know what the future holds for me, but I will carry in my heart all the people of Messina and the affection you have always shown me.
