Bergamo. The “Roadshow 2024” was held on Thursday 16 May, an initiative organized by Confapi in collaboration with Simest, dedicated to guiding Italian companies in the complex but fascinating path of internationalisation. The event, which took place at the Bpm headquarters in Bergamo, was a point of reference for all Lombardy companies eager to explore new opportunities beyond national borders.
“At the beginning of this year, Banco Bpm stipulated an agreement with Confapi Bergamo in order to offer its members subsidized financing formulas with favorable conditions to grow and support companies in our territories -. The meeting saw the participation of numerous companies, confirming the importance and interest in the topic of international expansion. Both companies already operating abroad, wishing to broaden their range of action, and those at the beginning of this journey were invited.
Industry experts, such as Francesca Alicata, responsible for external relations at Simest, shared valuable information and best practices to effectively address the internationalization process. Essentials such as identifying target markets, planning effective entry strategies and promoting the business in an innovative way were covered. Furthermore, testimonies were presented from companies that have been able to face the challenges and seize the opportunities of internationalization successfully.
The president of Confapi Lombardia, Pierluigi Corduahighlighted the importance of these initiatives in stimulating new ideas and energizing companies, recognizing the need for expert guidance in internationalization for long-term success.
Michele Giuseppe Lamera, President of Confapi Bergamo, expressed great satisfaction at having hosted the event in Bergamo, the heart of many Italian SMEs. Furthermore, he highlighted how international expansion represents a unique opportunity for local companies to access new markets, increase their competitiveness and diversify their customer portfolio, thus contributing to the strengthening of the economic fabric of the area.
At the end of the presentation, the participants had the opportunity to discuss each other by asking various questions to the experts in the sector.
