Attack in the emergency room of the Valduce hospital in Como. Yesterday morning the request for intervention arrived at 112 from the Via Dante station for a man who had hit a nurse on duty, apparently without reason, causing injuries to her limbs and face despite the intervention of two colleagues to help her. When the police arrived the man reacted with kicks and punches, the officers struggled to contain him. Even at the police station he continued with his violent and uncooperative attitude. A policeman was also injured.
Once calmed down he was identified. It emerged that he had declared various aliases over time. He is a 35-year-old Pakistani man, legally in Italy, already known to the police.
He was arrested for aggravated assault on the woman and for resisting and violence against a public official. He was also investigated for failing to show the document certifying his regular stay in the area.
Furthermore, yesterday evening, the police squad arrested a 32-year-old Italian man of no fixed abode for aggravated theft, already known to justice for crimes against property, for drugs and with a “leave sheet” from Como still in progress. The man was caught by the vigilante inside the supermarket on Via Carloni in the city while he stole goods worth a total of 220 euros from the shelves, hiding them in his jacket.
