A sponsor for the roundabout of provincial road 21 that connects Trapani to Marsala at the entrance to Birgi airport.
This is what the former Province ordered and some requests to entrust the care of the greenery of the flowerbed have already been received by the Free Municipal Consortium, which, however, in compliance with current legislation on the matter and “in accordance with the principles of transparency, of treatment and non-discrimination”, has decided to collect expressions of interest from as many businesses and companies as possible interested in the sponsorship procedure for the setting up and maintenance of the greenery and has therefore issued a public notice of market investigation , including participation methods and selection criteria.
Currently, temporary changes have been made to traffic and signage in the area. Last month, the relevant authorizations were granted to the company Studio PM Innovative Engineering in order to facilitate the passage of exceptional means of transport destined for a wind farm construction site.
The intervention involved, among other things, the temporary removal of five road signs and the demolition of a portion of the traffic island curb. This is the part of the provincial road that falls within the territory of the municipality of Misiliscemi and the transit of exceptional transport is inherent to the construction of the wind farm called Salemi-Castelvetrano, which falls between the territories of the two municipalities. The intervention, expected in a couple of months, should be close to completion. The company will then have to proceed with restoring the state of the places.
