Inflation is falling but potatoes are still expensive

TERNI – Inflation in Terni drops slightly in April. It stood at +0.7%, from 1% in March, still remaining slightly lower than the national figure (+0.9%).
This month too, a normalization of the inflation situation is confirmed
to that of full emergency a year ago when we had also reached values
above 10% and in April 2023 in Terni inflation was 8.5%.

The situation has improved much compared to a year ago, inflation in Terni from 8.5 to +0.7. In Terni the inflation situation has also improved compared to the national data, in fact while in April 2023 the measured inflation was higher, even if slightly, compared to the national average, it has currently fallen below the national average.
The improvement is confirmed by the fact that in the last month, food products have also shown an albeit slight decline in prices. Again taking as reference the situation of a year ago, in April 2023, inflation for food products stood at +12.3%, today it tends to decrease, it is at 2.8%.
In April the price of fruit and vegetables drops while that of potatoes continues to rise.
Good news also on the bill front. In fact, the situation of household expenses is improving with the Housing, water, electricity and fuel chapter which marks -8.3% compared to a year ago, with the greatest decreases seen for electricity and gas bills.
