Initiative promoted by the Lions Club Savona Torretta and Spotorno-Noli-Bergeggi-Vezzi Portio
Savona health – “Prevention in the streets“, an important initiative aimed at promoting health and prevention, where Piazza Sisto IV in Savona will be the stage tomorrow 18 May from 9am to 12.30pm and from 3pm to 6pm.
The day will be open to all citizens with stations set up where volunteer specialist doctors, assisted by nursing staff, will carry out screening and tests to detect the indicators of some often occult diseases: Glaucoma, Maculopathy, Amblyopia (the lazy eye of pre-school children ), Diabetes and Arterial Hypertension;
In addition to prevention, there is also correct information: during the day information material will be distributed on the most common pathologies and correct lifestyles. There will also be some gadgets for children and adults.
The initiative, promoted under the aegis of the Lions District 108 ia3, is organized by the Savona Torretta Club together with the Spotorno–Noli-Bergeggi -Vezzi Portio Club, with the patronage of the Municipality of Savona and ASL 2.
The project, which started in 2023, was then replicated on other occasions and in other locations by the various clubs in the District, registering great appreciation from the population.
