Weekend full of events in Calabria. From Friday to Sunday our region lights up again with a program full of events and initiatives ranging from classical to ethnic music, from comedy shows to excursions.
So let’s go back to opening our agenda to highlight some of the most interesting events scheduled for the weekend in the five Calabrian provinces.
Alessio Bidoli and Luigi Moscatello in Catanzaro
In the concert hall of Palazzo De Nobili, seat of the municipality of Catanzaro, Friday 17 May at 6pm Alessio Bidoli, on the violin, and Luigi Moscatello, on the piano, will perform in concert, making their talent and their ability to excite people available to the public thanks to the power of music. The initiative is organized by the Friends of Music Association belonging to AMA Calabria.
Emanuela Aureli in Praia a Mare
With her irony and versatility, the actress and imitator Emanuela Aureli is ready to reach Praia a Mare and perform, as part of the “Primaver…a…Praia” programme, Friday 17 May at 9.30pm in Piazza Italia. A show not to be missed for anyone who wants to let themselves put a smile on their face.
Silvia Mezzanotte and Filippo Arlia in Nocera Terinese
“Duettango – Homage to Astor Piazzolla”, this is the name of the show Friday 17 May at 8.30pm at the Capuchin Convent of Nocera Terinese, in the province of Catanzaro, will feature the singer and performer Silvia Mezzanotte and the orchestra director and creator of the project, Filippo Arlia.
Arisa in Crotone
Great live music returns to Crotone. In fact, the Pythagorean city will host Arisa in concert on the occasion of the Marian Festival. Appointment in Piazza Pitagora Friday 17 May at 9.30pm.
Davis Muccari in Belmonte Calabro
The young and talented Davis Muccari, one of the most popular performers in the Calabrian musical scene at the moment, will be in concert with his band in Belmonte Calabro, in the province of Cosenza, Friday 17 May at 9.30pm on the occasion of the feast of San Pasquale Baylon.
“Vela Latina” meeting in Tropea
Appointment at the port of Tropea Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May, starting from 11am, with the second “Vela Latina” gathering. A sailing event for the awarding of the 2nd Challenger trophy is scheduled for Sunday 19th at 11am, followed by the awards ceremony at 5pm.
Mimmo Cavallaro to Petilia Policastro
Concert by the Calabrian singer-songwriter Mimmo Cavallaro scheduled Saturday 18 May in Petilia Policastro, in the province of Crotone, at 9pm. An event not to be missed for lovers of traditional Calabrian music.
Santino Cardamone in Crosia
The singer-songwriter and musician Santino Cardamone will take to the stage set up in Piazza del Popolo in Crosia, in the province of Cosenza. The show, Saturday starting at 10pm, It is part of the program of events for the feast of San Michele Arcangelo.
Alessio Bidoli and Bruno Canino in Lamezia Terme
The Grandinetti Theater in Lamezia Terme will host Sunday 19 May at 6pm the concert of the duo composed of the violinist Alessio Bidoli and the pianist Bruno Canino in a program dedicated to French music.
Chiara Murzi and Cinzia Decataldo in Tropea
The two talented artists Chiara Murzi (violin) and Cinzia Decataldo (piano) will perform with a program entirely dedicated to chamber music for violin and piano. The concert, promoted by AMA Calabria in collaboration with Tropea Musica, will be held Sunday 19 May at 9.30pm at the Palazzo Santa Chiara in Tropea.
In Miletus following in the footsteps of the Normans
Excursion to Mileto, in the Vibo area, between the Mileto Antica archaeological park, the State Museum and the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta. The initiative, scheduled for the day of Sunday 19 Mayis promoted by the Terre Bruniane association.
