Salsomaggiore mourns the passing of Dr. Mario Rossi, owner of the pharmacy of the same name in the Sant’Antonio district, which occurred at the Vaio hospital due to the worsening of his health conditions.
Born in Parma in 1937, he obtained degrees in Pharmacy and Biological Sciences at the ducal university, taking up his father Renato’s profession. He was the owner of a pharmacy in Viadana and later in Salso where he moved at the end of the seventies. Doctor Rossi was appreciated by both his numerous customers and his employees for his professionalism, sweetness and for his gentlemanliness and always with a smile for everyone.
Doctor Mario Rossi’s passion for his work was demonstrated in the expansion of the premises to offer a better service to customers and has always been clearly visible to everyone due to his assiduous and constant presence in the pharmacy, always and preferably at the counter in contact with the people. In 2020 he celebrated 60 years of profession and at the same time the 60 years of opening the Rossi pharmacy of which his son Fabrizio became the owner in 2006.
Dr. Rossi was part of the Rotary Clubs of Viadana and Salsomaggiore of which he was also president. Under his presidency, the Salsa association twinned forty years ago with the French one in Grasse. Mario Rossi was president of the Salso Tennis Club for 10 years, a sport that he practiced until late in life. He was passionate about cryptography and puzzles and was the author of several publications in sector magazines. Deeply attached to his family, of which he has always been the fulcrum and example, Mario literally doted on his nephews Matteo, Riccardo and Alessandro whom he left behind together with his children Fabrizio and Rossella and his sister Renata.
