The Dutch former Roma midfielder will play one of his last matches with the Ligurians in the stadium that has been his home for a long time
Kevin Strootmanformer of the match in Rome-Genoa on Sunday, spoke to the microphones of Radio TV Serie A of his journey in the Ligurian team which will end at the end of the season. The penultimate match will be at the Olimpico, a special stadium, given his past with the Giallorossi colours. Here are his words.
“Gilardino informed me two days ago that my contract will not be renewed and, for this reason, my journey with Genoa ends here“. On the return to Rome: “We want to finish, and not just me, properly in front of our fans. Let’s go and play two matches against great teams. Playing at the Olimpico will be special for me, if the coach lets me play I will have fun“.
