Those who have frequented the rowing club for years are remembering the flooding of 16 November 2014. At that time the entire ground floor of the headquarters was completely flooded by over 30 centimeters and to deal with the unusability of the old gym, the company had had to ask for help from the Municipality of Varese, which thanks to the then Sports Councilor Maria Ida Piazza had made the gyms of two of the city’s elementary schools available.
Members, athletes and students were all invited to pay maximum attention to the updates communicated by the company in this regard.
“I am extremely delicate moments and of great apprehension. There are a few centimeters of level left and then the lake will enter the headquarters and the gym once again, creating serious problems in the continuation of the activity and extensive damage”, the words of DG Pierpaolo Frattini.
