In recent weeks, local police have intensified checks in the area aimed at combating the phenomenon ofabandonment of waste. The monitoring of the areas most at risk by patrols made it possible to trace the perpetrators of the offense in two circumstances.

A first episode occurred near the Mornera bridge, where the Agents, after analyzing some traces of abandoned waste, managed to trace the person responsible. Once tracked down, the person initially denied any wrongdoing, only to later admit, given the evidence collected, that he had left the bags containing the rubbish illegally. Several bags were conferred illicitly by the perpetrator of the violation; inside documents attributable to a productive activity, whose owner has been sanctioned for having violated the Urban Police Regulation, with consequent obligation to restore the areas affected by the offence.

Still on the protection of decorum front, in recent weeks in-depth studies have been conducted to ascertain the regularity of the bins present in the city, for the collection of used clothes. Having carried out the appropriate checks, it was ascertained that the agreements stipulated between the Municipality and the associations that deal with the recovery of clothing items were no longer valid. Once the inspections were carried out and it was found that the binders had not been taken away, the buildings were raised sanctions provided for by the highway code (173 euros for each unauthorized binder), with the offender having to remove them (a total of 25 binders). The checks carried out following the notification of the warnings highlighted how the recipients of the sanctions complied with the restoration of the state of the places. Twenty-four clothes bins removed. Only in one case was the removal not carried out, with the consequent report sent to the Prefecture for the issuance of the specific ordinance.
