L’AQUILA – Great response to the Fiat 500 rally, 125 crews registered and over 100 historic cars. See you in 2025.
“After an unforgettable two days, full of emotions, voices, colours, sounds and lots of joy, the L’Aquila and Pescara Coordination of the Fiat 500 Club Italia and the Federico Martinelli Team summarize the 12th rally in the city of L’Aquila of the historic Fiat 500 – 8th Federico Martinelli Memorial” . He underlines it Alessandro Marinangeli, representative for Abruzzo of the Fiat 500 Club Italia, who says: “A sunny gathering, like the days that accompanied it, a gathering simple in form, but rich in substance. Around 125 registered crews, 100 historic Fiat 500s and another 25 other stupendous historic machines formed a festive snake during the various transfers. After the musical and gastronomic meeting on Saturday at the Stop & Go bar in Pizzoli, we met on Sunday 12th from 8.00 am in via delle Medaglie d’oro in L’Aquila, near the Fontana Luminosa, where, having made registrations, distributed the Club gadgets and some typical local products, took the usual photos and after receiving recognition from the local authorities, we headed to Pizzoli, where the aperitif, a rich buffet, was served by the Federico Martinelli Team enjoyed by all participants. It was nice to meet so many friends who, despite not being sixteenth century supporters, wanted to be present to remember the young Federico, to greet us and wish us a success of the event. Of note is the presence of crews arriving from Montalto di Castro (VT), Campobasso and Rome. Numerous crews coming from all the provinces of Abruzzo. The service of the Municipal Police of L’Aquila and Pizzoli and of our motorcyclist volunteers was excellent. Our thanks go to everyone. After the greetings of the councilor of the Municipality of L’Aquila Livio Vittorini, the president of the VAS L’Aquila Domenico Centi and the deputy mayor of Pizzoli Angelo Sulpizio, the caravan then set off roaring and noisy through the streets of the upper L’Aquila area towards Poggio Picenze (AQ) for the La Posta restaurant where after a grandiose lunch we agreed to meet in 2025″.
