The ANF of Crotone launches an appeal to resolve the critical issues of the judicial system

This morning, in the multipurpose room of the Council of the Bar Association of Crotone, a press conference was held organized by the National Forensic Association (ANF) Section of Crotone. The meeting had the aim of making public the reports regarding the critical issues within the Crotone Palace of Justice, which the local attorney’s office has been experiencing for months.

The President of the ANF Crotone Section, Giuseppe Trocino, underlined the importance of this initiative as a cry of alarm, not an attack on the Crotone or Italian judiciary in general, but rather as an appeal to address and resolve existing problems once and for all.

During the press conference, Trocino highlighted the notable differences in the ways of working between some magistrates, which have a significant impact on the productivity and overall efficiency of the local judicial system. He cited examples of delays in decisions, prolonged duration of trials and failure to process legal aid requests.

One of the critical points highlighted concerns the distancing of citizens from the judiciary due to a lack of trust in the judicial system. Trocino underlined how the long wait to obtain a ruling from the court can lead citizens to renounce legal justice, seeking alternative, even illegal, ways to resolve their disputes.

The Lawyer also mentioned situations in which failure to promptly resolve civil disputes could escalate into more serious conflicts, endangering public safety.

In conclusion, Trocino reiterated the urgent need to address these critical issues, in order to guarantee efficient and timely justice for all citizens. He called on the competent authorities to take appropriate measures to resolve the issues highlighted, in order to restore trust in the judiciary and ensure equal access to justice for all.
