Must serve more than five years in prison on 50 year old from Matera arrested by the state police City of Stones in execution of a detention order issued by the local authority prosecutor’s office.
The man was sentenced to 5 years, 8 months and 15 days of imprisonment for possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances. The provision has become final.
The 50-year-old was arrested as part of an operation by the Matera flying squad which revealed the existence of a criminal association, active from 2002 to 2006of which the arrested person was a member, dedicated to the supply and dealing of large quantities of cocaine.
The investigation, called Pony Express for the methods of home delivery of drugs to customers, had led to the execution of 16 arrests, of which 10 in prison and 6 under house arrest.
