On Saturday 18 May at 5.00 pm at the Sacro Monte in Varese there will be an exceptional visit along the Viale delle Cappelle on the occasion of the National Week of Ecclesiastical Cultural Heritage

On Saturday 18 May at 5.00 pm at the Sacro Monte of Varese there will be an exceptional visit along the Viale delle Cappelle: for the National Week of Ecclesiastical Cultural Heritage, an initiative organized by the Diocese of Milan and aimed at enhancing and making the pearls known through visits and events of the Diocese, there will be an extraordinary opening of the 13th chapel which can be visited with the windows open.

The visit to the Pentecost chapel, which represents the mystery of the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and the Virgin, is a unique opportunity to admire the frescoes and life-size terracotta statues that tell this passage of the Gospels, which is celebrated just this Sunday. The guided tour will retrace the history of the Sacred Motne and the Avenue, created during the 17th century, and its creators, and then focus on the events that characterized the penultimate chapel of the Sacred Way.
